This is a big one! stalk is 43-44 inches high, bloom is 8 1/2 inches across! Wondering if it might be supreme sultan. Looks a bit weird in the bed with the historics - didn't know what I was getting when I planted it!

That's a fine looking mushroom! I know what you mean about the rain. It's been raining at least a little bit every day all month here in Alberta. We had a bad drought for about 3 or 4 years-just started to get resonable rain again last year. This year has been crazy, but it's hard to complain about! You've had some pretty bad flooding down in Texas though, haven't you?

With all the rain the mushrooms have been plentiful. The larger one in the
photo was about 10" in diameter. Leafspot has been present in many beds,
but not all. I've actually had it worse in years past, but it's still an
aggravation. No rot has shown up. Rain is continuing in the area. Too
much at times, but for my part a whole lot better than drought. Everytime
it rains, I'm afraid it's going to be the last one.
