Subject: [iris-photos] TB Photo: HIDDEN GEM (plic w/ spots)

Here is a 2009 introduction named HIDDEN GEM. (a plicata with some spotting - which I introduced this year). The spots become heavier closer to the rim.

This was a Tanzanian Tangerine x Violet Shimmer cross. This is a light silver-blue (or pewter-blue), but some years has pale lavender tones to it. I was surprised to find 14 buds (nicely placed), with good sequence opening of those buds, and some very nice branching on this one. The look is soft and elegant.
This photo was taken way early in the morning. Once the sun hits it- the silver/pewter blue tones really show up.
