It would be a good idea.  Maybe the description matches another by the hybridizer.

I agree about the beard.  This description that Linda M published does not fit this iris.
Maybe Ellen can help us get to the bottom of this by contacting the hybridizer or someone that knows him/her.

My doubt comes when the beard is described as orange in throat, yellow in middle, white at end.  Here is my photo again.  I sure don't see yellow and white.  What about yours?   R&I also says 'very laced and ruffled'.  I see lace not much ruffle.

Maybe what looks orange in the photos is more of a pinkish orange, hence
the description?
