The Encyclopedia has reached another landmark. All classes of irises except the TBs have been moved to their own webs. We have reached the halfway point for restructuring with 16,000 pages having been moved. This next part may become a bit confusing. Because there are so many TBs they are being broken into 5 webs of five letters of the alphabet. If you add a TB cultivar be sure to choose the template for its proper letter group of the alphabet and it will go into that new web. All TBs under the letters I and H have already been moved. If you are searching an Iris name start in the proper web and search that web first. If you do not see it check the box on advanced search for all public webs and the whole Encyclopedia will be searched. The TBs are still slow but all the new webs for other classes work very nicely. If anyone has questions remember I am usually near the computer so e-mail me. We now have over 275 people contributing to the wiki and over sixty docents. As far as I am concerned the Iris Society should create some special recognition for these heroes and what they have contributed. I will work on that and perhaps we should wait until next year when the Encyclopedia is near complete. For now thanks to all of you. |
