I wasn't suggesting to plant them in the "same" clump, but "close" makes it a lot easier to judge branching and other characteristics. The one time I cared enough to run this test, it was quite remarkable and the answer was obvious from across the garden.

It sounded as though the identification might come down to "color" and that is always a bit chancy.

M argie, those are looking quite close to the actual photo! I have not heard back from the guest yet as to whether she thinks the photo she took with her camera-phone is darker than real-life.

Pinnacle is also my guess. The photo was obviously taken under flourescent light without light balance setting on camera, as note yellowish colouring of stems, and of background. Thus flower is more yellow in photo then it would be in person.
Certainly right form for pinnacle.
