The very same! For all I've read about the need to keep I. japonica damp all
the time, this one seems to do best when allowed to dry out quite a bit in
late summer. Since this monster has outgrown its pot again, I'm tempted to
try planting some outside just to see if any of it will survive.
The snow probably will last through April but that hasn't kept the Dutch
irises from starting to poke their noses out where the snow has gone off.
Spanish irises (also in a pot and inside) are budding up now. Camera is at
the ready! :-)
