I think they are, but my experience with these is non-existent, and am only working from various texts. Seems likely, though, especially with the spathes held tightly to the stalk.

     Do you know if that could be Iris albicans?  One thing for sure is that
it is NOT Iris unguicularis as has been previously thought.
