Re: HYB: Seedling

Hi Francelle,

A nice EARLY iris!  VERY EARLY!  I like those..................(for this type of desert climate that we happen in.)  In another year or two - - you'll know how the branching, budcount, and final form will turn out.  (Although I have seedling that seems to change it's form every year.  I haven't quite figured that one out yet.) Keep us posted on this seedling of yours.

Hi, Everyone,

This is the first seedling to bloom of the ones I set out a year ago.  Its parents are Mariposa Skies X Pacific Belle, two neglectas.  I expected a neglecta; instead I got a true blue self that reminds me of Yaquina Blue.  It’s ruffled and diamond dusted and may be a rebloomer.  It’s branching and bud count aren’t anything to brag about, but I’ll keep it a couple of years to see what it will do.
