LADY MADONNA was my first encounter with an iris that would almost grow
here that I <really> wanted to keep alive, but couldn't.  Bloomed once
or maybe even twice, but was obvious from the first that it wasn't going
to last long.  Such a pretty thing - I really liked it and hated to see
it fade away.

Now that I know so much more about growing iris in my soil & climate
(hah!), I might try it again....
