Here are two photos of DIETES BICOLOR, (ex MOREA BICOLOR), or YELLOW WILD
IRIS that i took last year in south Africa.
The flowers only last one day, but there is a multitude of them so
you can havre flowers during sping and summer !
In hot areas, it prefers partial shade.
Yours is the picture of DIETES GRANDIFLORA or LARGE WILD IRIS;
It's fowers are longer lasting and are 10cm across! They also can bloom all
through spring and summer.
I can reach 1metre in height, it's like a weed and is even used to makes
borders along the roads there...
I picked some seeds, they germinated well and are growing in pots in the
green house.
Will keep posted if any flower appear ones day!
