No, Francesca, the color is almost black red-violet.  Yours is too red.  My pictures is too blue.

Last year I was disappointed in the results of a cross between Pond Lily and Romantic Evening.  This one must not have bloomed, because I am certainly not disappointed in it.

 

I’m sorry the picture is so dark, and the falls are deep velvety magenta instead of dark blue, but at least it shows its lovely form.
