I'll take deer walking through my iris garden every time! I have lots
of beautiful birds here and none have ever made an attempt to bother a
bloom! Last spring/summer they did patrol the air above the beds. I
think they were feeding on the neighbor's bees but I could be mistaken.
Might have been other insects.
After the first fall, the deer haven't bothered the blooms.
