Onco Photo: Scarlet Butterfly

This is SCARLET BUTTERFLY...................A historic iris.  I thought it was a historic TB for years, but it's registered as an Onco. Parentage: Butterfly Wings x Rocket.  Butterfly Wings is a Tall Miniature Bearded.
It grows to 36 inches tall. Blooms early. Lloyd Austin, 1960 intro.
