It's a great relief to finally get to talk to you and I really did go
send that e-mail to the other person I referred to. If they take it
half as graciously as you I'll consider myself very lucky.
Yes I remember our conversation well and I look forward to using it
in the future. I made very few crosses at the end of the season last
year. One of those situations where I put it off for so long that I
just had to do SOME crosses so used what was still open. That
strategy almost killed 'May Happiness' to produce a pod
using 'Celebration Song' for pollen.
I didn't want to get too involved with crosses last year because I
was convinced I was moving my garden at the end of the season. I'm
convinced that I really am moving this year, but I am determined to
cross every exceptional median that opens this year. Hoping that the
pods will develop long before I need to move my garden in it's
entirety. I'm afraid to involve the TB's and beardless though,
because I expect they would still have pods at moving time.
I look forward to evaluating fields of seedlings on the new property
(32 acres), so once I get rolling with some noteworthy seedlings,
I'll have you in mind when they're ready to be tested in other
regions. :) I may be terrible at acknowledging kind deeds, but I
don't forget them.
