Here are a couple of photos that go with discussion of pumila spot on
iris-talk.

This is Rumble, and IB with a dark purple pumila spot on purple. This
flower had a sector mutation with an abscence of anthocyanin. The close
up clearly shows petal to be white, and spot yellow, where anthocyanin
is absent.

In this flower there is yellow only in spot area of petals, changing
the purple to a near black.
