Thanks to all for the feedback on the SA
dwarfs,,,, our office rug has been replaced and we haven't had too much
access to computers lately, sorry for the slow replys. Have about 30
different SA dwarfs now, most are unacceptable, some (usually out of Props)
are OK and warrant watching. thanks again for the
input.

Hello
Mike, I myself am very fond of the little space agers. I think the
rarity of dwarf space agers, out weighs the narrowness and warrants
intoduction. If these are fertile, they would aid in creating more
median SA's. I have mixed feelings on "wide" flowers. While it
is more of the Modern look, I find that substance/budcount/
vigor are
more important in the garden performance respect. If they are
flounced, I don't mind them being a little narrower, I've noticed wide
SA's with big flounces sometimes have a hard time opening, the flounce
hangs up in the standards and sometimes snaps off when opening. Thanks for
posting these.

Been working on dwarf
space age iris for over a decade and have not been really satisfied
with the results. Am not sure dwarfs look good as space
agers....... attached is a flounced SDB (red violet/purple) and a
petaloid MDB (yellow one) Input on space age dwarfs would be
appreciated. ...does anybody think they are worth the effort? To
me, most end up being narrower then average and, in general, the
appendages are very inconsistent.
