Hi Betty,

I am interested in what you used in the bed.  Did you amend the soil?

These are the beds built in the fall of 2010.  The last bed built is a bit behind in growth.  (nearest the camera)  If I plant this late again, I'll plant them just a little deeper and let them adjust themselves. This bed was barely finished when the temps dropped.  Rebloomers that had been planted since 2005 were moved to this bed.

I expect the growth to catch up in a few weeks.  I plan to keep a photo diary of this group.

Middle bed was planted first and holds a wide variety of TB irises and a few seedlings from around the country.  It contains a lot of my collection from the west coast and AU.  Two clumps each of Wearing Rubies, Jazz Band & Temple of Time,  Also, two clumps of Hello Darkness & Society Page!  With space being a bit limited, it was a bit hard to devote the space, but I just couldn't resist.  Teaghen & I both want to breed with HD.  The cultivars from my garden were planted in clumps.  Some old, many new.

Back bed contains my seedlings.

I lost ONE new plant.  (middle bed) Don't think it was the fault of the bed.
