Hi all!

This is a post regarding a short conversation blip from Iris-Talk regarding "Beginners: Pods & seeds".

These seeds came from a cross of Haunted Heart X unknown SA ....  

21 days after pollination, the small pod was found on the ground--it had been snapped off the stalk.  

I let the pod ripen on it's own, not on a sunny windowsill, actually.  There was no stalk left attached to the pod, either.  

The photo was taken today, after 6 days of the seeds soaking (with all the other crosses from 2011), and is going into a plastic baggie with sphagnum/peat for 6 - 8 weeks of vernalization.

The seeds smell like dirty socks!  ... or rotten eggs ... whatever you think is worse.  BUT>>> I think those 4 seeds on the left, and that one on the middle right, just *might* sprout for me!  Whoopee!
