I did not tought direct scan of flower is possible. Looks nice.
Have the flowers on all plants the same fall pattern? Somewhen I have found in the Internet sites picture of I.Japonica and put it together with yours. It seems there can be several pattern variations.
Of course it would be better to compare photos.

Iris japonica
Recently I received some plants of iris japonica from China,they have flowerbuds,now they have open and they look beautiful.
I cut one flower of and placed it in the scanner, it is a bit wrinkled but ok!
