Hi Everyone:
Does anyone grow Superstition? If so, does it match this
description particularly the striking beard color?
This thing has been growing for a few years, and is 12-18" high. It
blooms early. It is a very very dark mulberry self, with beards that
start out electric blue, fading to purple with age. It has a modern
form, falls stick out, slightly ruffled. It has good substance. The
flower is smaller than many other known TB's that grow in my garden.
It really looks more like an SDB.
I always thought it was suffering from some malady, and that is why
it came up 'short' every year.
Anyhow it IS pretty, but it is also a 'Mart acquisition, and I am
beginning to think it is not Superstition as labelled after all.
PS Don't have anything against 'Mart mysteries'; sometimes they are
fun, but I don't want to call it something it is not.
thanks,
Laetitia
