I just finished looking at my Superstition. I would have described the beard
as self but I will admit I didn't make a scientific observation. The
checklist says "blue black". I would put the emphasis on the black part. Of
course my Superstition may be an imposter also.
'I know Schreiner's sells seedlings as "color". I think Cooley's does also.
Those "color" get a name added by the packager. In most cases it is a
registered name of something in the general color class.
