That's pretty cool.  I've seen similar things in my garden.  What I 
like about your photo is that it shows how yellow background can make 
purple veins turn reddish-brown.  I remember reading/hearing that's 
probably what pseudacorus would do if it wasn't yellow.  I've never 
seen a white one though.
