[PHOTO] SDB: Jewelers Art (not)

Hi all,

This standard dwarf iris arrived tagged as Jewelers Art. It is not Jewelers Art, and I will not ask anyone to identify it because it is somewhat a rogue iris. It blooms every year, but.....

First year bloom had white standards, and a blend of pink and white falls.

Second year bloom had white standards, and a blend of mid-gray and white falls.

Third year bloom had white standards, and a blend of light lilac and white falls.

2002 is the fourth year in a row the blooming flowers have not been what they were the year before. This year the standards are a yellow-white blend while the falls are a blend of darker lilac and a mid-gray.

Whatever this iris is I like it because of its unpredictability.
