This is done on new beds and "lay out" beds (beds which have lain fallow for
a year). This bed is a brand new one, 4' X 160' and tailored for arilbreds.

Dana,
Let me ask a stupid question. Did you remove the plants prior to
solarization ? If so, will you do this for each and every bed ? or is
this just done on your new beds before planting new stock.
I vaguely remember that there was a thread many years about this ago on
the now defunct Iris Talk.
