Jewelers Art (not) was ordered from Salmon Creek Gardens. Thought I was receiving that iris, but instead received something else which the Aitkens cannot identify. This rogue iris ordered as Jewelers Art has bloomed for 5 consecutive years, including the year after dividing twice, except for the previous 4 years the characteristics of this iris have changed. From white standards with pink falls, to yellow standards with smokey grey falls - from yellow/white beards to orange/white beards the bloom has changed in some way. This year however, it was identical to last year. There were about a dozen seedlings that bloomed from this cross this year, here are 2 more. I have never had so much variety in the blooms from any one cross as this.
These photos are just from an amateur gardeners backyard garden and are sent for your enjoyment. None are for sale, none will be introduced, none will be traded.
Enjoy.
