"Oasis" cv's

I am delighted to see some of Keith Chadwick's OASIS irises showing up on Iris-photos.

Just for the history buffs--the Sand Hollow area where Chadwick is working is only a couple miles from where Melvina Suiter (LADY BLUE BEARD, SWEET ALICE LEE, OWYHEE, TOMECO and many others found in pedigrees originated.  The most significant irises of Mel Suiter  include the first two of these hidden in the ancestry of the Dykes Medal irises VICTORIA FALLS, SONG OF NORWAY, and I believe also CELEBRATION SONG) through a Jake Scharff seedling not otherwise identified, but the ancestry of which shows on the HIPS "Quick Fix" and "Dykes" photos pedigrees).

Her TOMECO circulated world wide, and is in numerous red pedigrees.  The Schreiners used it, for one, and it is in the family tree of many Schreiner reds.

Neil Mogensen  z 7  western NC mountains, but once upon a time lived not too many miles NW of Chadwick south of Fruitland, Idaho, and spent a good many years as a Garden Judge there, and a year as RVP of the region. (Region 11)
