Re: Blue Louisiana Iris

Hi Colleen, it is 5" from the tip of one fall to the tip of the opposite fall.  The color is a little bit of a darker blue than the camera captured.  My camera has a problem trying to capture a really deep blue such as Dusky Challenger and this LA.

I have not seen many LAs, so I was really excited to see the deep blue with the yellow.  It is very striking.

The anther should be under the style arm. Theres a lot of blue La and the exact shade depends a bit on where it is growing and how your camera deals with blue. What size are the blooms?

I got several Louisiana irises 3 years ago and they are finally blooming.  This one is really beautiful!  Anyone know what its name is?

And, where is its anther?
