companion plant updat

  • Subject: [PHOTO] [iris-photos] companion plant updat

Sorry about the size, but I've squeezed both beds planted with the ipomopsis
rubra in the photo. I was going to wait 'til they reached peak, but this
may be peak since we are currently under a severe weather watch (though
there's no sign of rain yet). Probably less than 20% have blooms, but
everything has buds. The tallest spires are just over 6' tall. They are
thicker in the closer bed, somewhat less so in the back bed. The irises
have been receiving some welcome shade during this past week of upper 90F
weather. Those that get direct full sun all day are bleaching.
