After 6 weeks with no rain,
...(yes, in Holland, where it used to rain almost everyday, where rhyzomes used to rot away, where you had to wear rubber boots, where you had to build dykes to protect you from flods),
here, in Holland i have to water the iris !!!!!
On the picture, there are the seedling pots, that have to be watered everyday anyway, then, last year seedlings, that are desperate for water, then in the back some of the future beds that are ready but so dry i can replant anything, then the unturned soil ( that has to be turned soon) that is like concrete.
When i compare with the garden 3 weeks ago... so fresh and lush, i start to understand you, in Arizona...
Still won't swap to cactuses though, there is plenty of water underground here, and we may water, night and day if we please, with no limitations......yet!
