AB: VOLUNTEER FIREMAN revisited

From bloom watch to pod watch. Margie asked if I'd tried to daub on VF and
I answered in the affirmative, but with doubt to having any success. Here's
what I'm seeing now, so the question now is whether these pods have any
seeds and, if they do, whether those seeds will prove viable. All that's
assuming the pods survive to maturity. I've had several pods abort that
contained half-grown, immature seeds when I cut into them. I usually blame
those spontaneous aborts on excessive dry weather and mis-matched chromosome
sets. Can't blame dry weather this year.
