Linda,..........you must have some kind of "magic" going on in your yard this year.  Only I hope this one keeps this pattern in the standards year after year after year.  It would be so nice if it were a 'sport'.  Keep us updated on that one.  Are all of the blooms doing this?

I have seen everything from missing standands and falls to tiny blooms, to squat and irregularly shaped and normal size blooms on 3 inch stalks this year.  This is another anomaly that  is probably due to the strange freeze spell we had this year.  I plan on keeping an eye on it next year to be sure, but the veining in the stands was really interesting!
