Okay, so I like Paul Black's colorful and different SDBs.....(I do like nice, clean self-colored irises too.)  I think my fascination with exotic color patterns stems from the time when I discovered arils and arilbreds in the late 50s right after I graduated from high school.  Here's Zooboomafoo (Black 2007).
