I had the "colorful" iris recorded in my own book from 2005 and with the
use of a plastic spoon ID marker dug into the soil - thank
goodness - lol. I snapped that photo just in time as the flower is gone today. I
am keeping my fingers crossed that it does not rain when the other flowers on
the stalk are ready to open.
