Griff - I am using digital , I had posted a few of its siblings earlier this month ( that didn't have any sign of space age ) that also have this deep red color , I chose this one for the golden rim on the falls , when the flower first opens there is very little sign of a rim at all , but as the flower expands in about an hour the rim shows up . thought that I would see if it will do the same thing next year . maiden bloom , stalk a little short , only 6 buds . hope it improves next year .
