Hi Marsha.  Looks like wind and rain have done a real job on your iris stalks.  I'd pinch or cut the top blossom off and see if that straightens out the stalk.  Otherwise, you'll have to stake them.

Subject: [iris-photos] Help

Please forgive me up front if I am not doing this right as I am more of a lurker than participant.

These iris were standing straight this morning and as the day went by "goosenecked".  I am south of Nashville and did get hit by the rains and flooding.  I expected stalks on the ground, wind damage, etc but I can't remember ever having a stalk go soft during the day.  Is this due to the rains?  Humidity?  Should I do something?

Thanks in advance,

Marsha Williams
