Hi Chuck,  I don't know which SDBs are considered 'whenever' bloomers.  We don't see many here at all.  They grow fairly well but do not bloom but once every few years.

No, I don't have the fridge space.

Mike has this combination on his TBs, so you got  that.

As for SDB and MDB in So. California, probably the only way to do it is grow in pots and  put in a fridge for a month.  But who has  enough fridge space for that?

Some of the "Whenever "  reblooming SDB may manage to  bloom and survive  in your climate.  More of these coming in the future.

Have you tried any of the "Whenever" rebloomers there?

Chuck,  Magnificent!  Now when can you get this flower combo onto an IB, BB, or TB so it will grow here in So.Cal., the land without cold enough winters??  Do you think that ice cubes would work?

A SDB seedling that opened today.

Actually, it is more intense in person, if you can believe.  Ring is actually a bit darker, close to brown. So much contrast camera can't capture it all.

I certaing wasn't expecting this from this cross.  Clever  X a bitone  purple-rose  luminata plicata seedling with red beard.
