It might - depends on the year! We've had summers that have almost been
rain free, tho humidity usually stays pretty high. This summer, it
seemed to rain an inch to several inches every few days through most of
the summer. It finally quit raining in late August (? I think).
Soil drainage is never a problem out in the gravelly part of the garden,
but if they are prone to diseases that thrive with high humidity, they
probably wouldn't do well here.
Anybody in the southeastern US in wetter areas than Donald Eaves trying
to grow Spurias? Walter, Bill, Janet? Anybody in Region 7?
