Dauntless is a reddish iris. The 1939 check list calls its color R9D which is a dark reddish iris. I grow a complete Dykes bed.

Last spring while in Clark Garden in Mineral Wells, Texas, I was priviledged to get to photograph some of the older iris. Since this is a slow time on our list I thought I would share some of them with you.
