Sorry all about the large size.  I doubt I'll ever go as low as 50kb, but they were large.  I usually have a 21kb dial up connection, the best I've ever had on this line is 26kb, and it's no problem to go 2mb, and it's only a little bit slow.  Never have had a problem with email attachments being slow to down load, but sometimes the emails don't load at all (probably a different issue - hopefully resolved with an upgrade to the operating system).  Most browsers will show the picture at the bottom of the email ajusted in size, and you don't need to open the attachment at all, but it depends on how sent and the settings (and probably the service provider).
Anyway, I didn't realize how large they were - should have checked - I will try to pay more attention.
