Just when I was complaining about having no rebloom and
low bud count this happens. This is the first time Witch of Endor has
rebloomed for me and I don't guess it is really rebloom since this
plant didn't bloom in the spring. I moved it last year to the sunniest
spot I have, which is also the spot with the thinnest soil. After
amending the soil and waiting forever, this is the result. Both fans
are sending up bloomstalks. This one sent up three bloomstalks from
one fan. So far I have counted 9 buds but I think some of them are
double socketed. Time will tell. We had our first frost last Sunday
night with a temperature just below freezing. I don't think it hurt
this iris at all and the temperature is back up to 70°f today. I found
another bloomstalk forming on Eleanor Roosevelt. I suspect I won't get
to see all these blooms, but I'm happy to have seen just one. Change settings via the Web (Yahoo!
