It's not necessary to join the on-line register to find the AIS registrations form.  The AIS has a copy online that can be downloaded as a PDF file.  In fact, if you are registering an iris, you must fill out this form and return it to the AIS with registration fee.  It can be down loaded and printed. 
 
This form does not allow for extensive seedling pedigrees, but you are instructed to chart the rest on a separate page.  
 
You go to the AIS website (registration part) by putting in
 
 
For anyone that doesn't know how to do a family tree this, gives the basics.  It is basically the same as those given in earlier posts.
