My infamous "soil". One result of all the trees coming down in the
microburst this spring was the decision to bury the electric line to the
pumphouse. I thought I'd just use all that nice loose dirt as a
short-term place to line out a few seedlings.

Trouble is, by the time I get most of the big rocks out of the top foot
or so of this freshly dug "soil", it will probably be a foot deep
trench! But I guess I can always fill it with horse manure and potting mix.
