Re: Reblooming SA variegata

Hello Mike,

It must be superb to have so splendid Irises in bloom at this moment.
For us here in Belgium is the cold wet weather a problem for most of the rebloomers, i love the SA irises enormous and i put this one on my future list.

Subject: [iris-photos] Reblooming SA variegata

Hard to convey the size and presence of this.....It is large at 6.5" and color is more saturated then appears in photos.  Falls are orbicular, ruffled and overlapping at the shoulders.  I haven't been too focused on space agers because they have a tendency to tweak....major fault in my book.  This one doesn't tweak, possibly because their are no appendages in spring, only on the fall rebloom.  Golden blaze in throat and around the end of the beards is barely visible in the picture but it really warms up the flower, also has slight golden veining on the falls and their is a faint rim.  involved parentage but includes Bragaddocio (sp), Tropical Delight, American Eagle and Ghio 983F.  Can't post a stalk and clump shot as the tractor knocked it over yesterday and this is the rescued flower.
