Jim  --  Gate of Heaven was blooming impressively at Mike Lockatell's garden in central Virginia during our Region 4 fall regional.  You're right on the cross.  Thanks for posting.  --  Griff

In flower since mid August. This is the fourth stalk of four rhizomes,
all bloomed this Summer/Fall. One in mid August, one in mid September,
and two now. It is sending up increase now but I don't see how it can
flower next Spring. It has been touched by light frost three times
already. I did note one flower held well for four days. This is from
Lloyd Zurbrigg, I think a cross of 'Saint Petersburg' X 'Clarence'.
