In any stroke is very important to know the signs: When someone fills not well, with headache for example, ask if he-she can say a coherent sentence, if they can put the arms up and finally if they can smile...
 
 In case that non of the 3 can be performed properly quiclkly to the hospital! The timing is very important to avoid seriouss consequences. In between 3 hours a person can be saved.
 
So sorry about Rita´s death.

As many of you know Rita and Tom Gormley  it is with sadness that I let you know that on Saturday night Rita had a massive stoke which resulted in irreversible damage to the right side of her brain.
It is a now a matter of time.
A grand lady who received the well deserved Distinguished Service Medal at the Fall Meeting in Portland.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Rita's family at this most difficult time.
