Just took this photo and not much daylight left. This is about as
bright as yellow can get. PAG only bloomed once for me and has been
dwindling since, so no surprise that this one is not robust and the
root system substandard (no doubt that's why it's not robust). Lots
of pollen, which is what I wanted from this one. Hafts overlap big time.
Spent primary fan - You have the idea, Adam. If the original fan is
mature enough, but does not bloom the next spring after it was planted
out, it indicates that it tried to bloom, too late, the prior fall. When
well established, seedlings tend to fall bloom about a month earlier than
their maiden effort here.
Crushing news about Rita. She rode to my rescue about 6 weeks ago with
a CD to show at IGEI, when the speaker had to cancel. A great lady and
a wonderful friend.
