Really great for having immortality as one parent. From: Linda Mann <lmann@lock-net.com> To: iris-photos@yahoogroups.com Sent: Mon, Nov 22, 2010 8:25 am Subject: [iris-photos] HYB: IMM X Red Rock Canyon - reb? 4 pictures - Maiden, so may not be true rebloom. Whopping huge bloom on
a tall stalk. Took <forever> to open but worth the wait. As you can see from the photo with it next to IMM X LOVE TO FLIRT, foliage isn't good (mostly frost damage), esp for an IMM kid, but we shall see how it holds up. Seeing the foliage, no surprise that it doesn't have any pollen - shriveled anthers. Lots of small increase. Betty, I had to stand on a chair to get the out of focus top down shot, but at least you can get an idea of the form. Another good nick with IMM re: form. That makes.... 5? CELEBRATION SONG, LOVE TO FLIRT, AMITY ESTATE, RED ROCK CANYON, KIWI CHEESECAKE. Out of lots of combinations that weren't so great. Betty, did you hear anything from Mike about whether he has used RED ROCK CANYON for breeding? Huge blooms and tall stalks may be a shortcoming re: rain and wind, but I love it.
