[PHOTO] TB: modern unknown

Just thought I'd throw in this modern 'unknown'; does anyone recognize it?
It was bought with a name on it from a reputable local nursery in 1996; but 
in those days, I could care less about the name and threw the label out.
Anyhow, its been sulking in the garden from that time till 2002 when it 
finally bloomed.
I guess there are alot of things out there that are similar, but what the 
heck, someone might have a clue.
It does have rather distinctive falls, in that they curve upward all around, 
sort of making a dish-like appearance.
Also the beards are kind of complex in coloration, the top part being 
yellow, but tapering to lavender.
I know I can't expect an ID this way, but if anyone has a suggestion, I'd 
love to hear it.
