RE: Lycopene and Tomato

Attatched are two photos re Lycopene and tomatos.

The first is a photo of some tomato paste at the bottom with the paste at the
top after 6 ectractions of pigment with heated alcohol. On the right and left
is the standards and fall petals of Pink Attraction. The tomato paste remains
are pink after the alcohol extrction. Lycopene in not soluable in alcohol so
this is a great way to remove all other pigments.

Second photo is from left to right
a) oil extraction from tomato paste with all oil soluable pigments
b) the alcohol pigment extraction
c) the lycopene extraction from the tomato paste
d) lycopene from Pink Attraction.

Basically c and d are the same, different concentrations
