Re: RE: OT: ID a Tree & rebloom news

Mary Lou  --  This looks a lot like Hearts a Burstin', a shrub, not a tree, here in Virginia.  If it is, it will open to show 4 or 5 big orange seeds.  This is the time of year when it bears its fruit.  I'm attaching a photo of one such taken near here 3 years ago.  --  Griff

Anybody tell me what kind of tree produces these?
Stalk coming on September Frost, new here in July.
Stalk on City Lights, which hasn't bloomed at all in 2 or 3 years. (Reset last year)
Rosalie Figge going nuts - too many buds to count!
03-106A (Amain X Sweet Reflection) skipped spring, big stalk up.
I have sprouts! Mostly Frequent Flyer pods.
Otherwise, nothing 'new'.

Mary Lou, near Indianapolis, Z5 - Yeah, right - In the 80s on October 5th!
